Monday Millennials – Stuff You Should See For 4/13/2009

Bloggin’ Along…

Here are the things Millennials should see for the week of 4/13/2009.

Blogs

We millennials are fickle bastards.  Few people understand this like Carol Phillips.  She’s created the Millennial Marketing blog and does an amazing job making millennial issues easily accessible to the community at large.  Carol has a great grasp on things and definitely should be among your top-read this week.

Books

I recently gave this book to Dee Valdez as a birthday present. The abundance of leadership books out there means that many of them are full of crap. Plenty of ego-padded narcissistic people have published their own tomes of “here’s how I think you should run your life.” But the best leadership books, in my opinion, take a historical figure and put that figure’s actions into today’s hectic lifestyle.

Lincoln couldn’t possibly imagine what today’s existence would be like, but some traits stand the test of time.  Along those notes, I’m recommending “Lincoln on Leadership”.

    Nick:

Thanks for the awesome shout out. I appreciate the kind words and publicity. I would have used the word ‘dynamic’ rather than ‘fickle’ but may amount to same thing? Less perjorative. :-)

    Carol,

Glad to feature you. I love your website. Actually, fickle is the word I wanted, haha. Dynamic works in a different context, I think. But when it comes to marketing… fickle is probably more apt. ;-D
